  1. 1. Typical Timeline
  2. 2. What Causes Delays

Typical Timeline

  • Day 1 — site visit, load calculation, written estimate (30–60 minutes)
  • Week 1–3 — permit pulled with your city
  • Install day — 3–5 hours on-site for a standard garage install; 6–8 hours if trenching or panel work is involved
  • Inspection — city inspector visits within 1–2 weeks; we coordinate

What Causes Delays

Panel upgrades required first (adds 1–2 weeks), custom trenching, HOA approvals, and city plan-check queues. Every OC city has its own permit timeline — Newport and Laguna are typically slower than Anaheim or Brea.
